Abstract
Abstract. Fingerling (O+) brown trout, Salmo trutta L., pond‐reared on natural food or hatchery‐reared on artificial food started feeding immediately following their release into a lake or a stream. There was no difference in feeding ability between the hatchery‐ and the pond‐reared fish.
